Fair Grace delivered from a Swedish yard to Turku
After four years of refit in a Swedish shipyard, Fair Grace was checked, test sailed and delivered across the Baltic to Turku in Finland. The owner said it best: the Scandinavian summer is short.

The passage
First the sea trials, then the delivery
Fair Grace had spent the last four years in a Swedish shipyard being refitted. A boat coming out of a long refit is never quite finished, so the first thing our crew did was check her over and make a few short trial trips to be sure she was safe to sail. A list of small issues got fixed before we left, not on the way.
The owner wanted her in Turku within a week or so, because, as he put it, the Scandinavian summer is short. We went first to Utklippan, a small island off Karlskrona where the seals watched us come in, then to Kalmar, and from there across to Finland and through the Archipelago National Park to Turku, where the owner took his boat back.
